Evidence-based policy FAILOctober 31, 20094 CommentsUK government sacks government’s chief drug adviser It’s good to know that the UK government doesn’t feel the need to trouble itself with inconvenient facts. 4 thoughts on “Evidence-based policy FAIL” richdrich October 30, 2009 at 21:41 Unbelievable. I’m thinking the NZ government can’t sack it’s advisers because it disagrees with their ideas? It can employ people and ban them from publishing anything without permission, but it can’t allow people to publish and then fire them because it doesn’t like their findings? I guess UK advisers are like ministers themselves and can be fired at will. Reply beagl October 30, 2009 at 22:36 Drugs are well known to have negative effects on peoples ability to reason.
